Frequently asked questions
Do I need to install anything?
No. EZ Pharma Hub runs in a web browser on any PC, laptop, tablet or phone, and you can install it as an app from the browser for one-tap access and offline use. If you're on Windows, a native desktop app is also available with direct receipt printing and automatic updates — see below.
Is there a desktop app?
Yes — a Windows desktop app is available alongside the browser version. It installs like any Windows program, signs in with the same account, and adds direct/silent receipt printing with no print dialog, plus automatic updates. The browser version still works everywhere else (Mac, Linux, tablets, phones) — the desktop app is an optional, faster setup for a Windows counter.
What happens when the internet goes down?
You keep billing. Sales and purchases are saved on the device and synced automatically when the connection returns. Each queued action is sent exactly once, so you won't get duplicates.
Does it work for FBR and DRAP requirements?
The GST report gives you output tax, input tax and net payable for your FBR sales tax filing, and the scanner reads the 2D codes and registration numbers printed on DRAP-registered medicine packs. Live integration with FBR's POS invoicing system isn't included.
Can I use my barcode scanner and receipt printer?
Yes. Standard USB and Bluetooth barcode scanners work out of the box, and receipts print to any printer your device can use or save as PDF. Phones can scan with the camera.
How do I move my existing product list in?
Pro plans include bulk import. On every plan you can start from the built-in generics and product types, and our team helps with the initial catalogue during onboarding.
Is my data safe?
Each pharmacy's data is fully isolated, staff only see what their role allows, sessions can be revoked instantly, and every action is recorded in the activity log. Owners can take backups at any time.
Can I change plans later?
Yes. You can move up a plan as you add branches or users, and your data stays exactly where it is.
Does it handle insurance claims or e-prescriptions?
No. EZ Pharma Hub is a retail and wholesale pharmacy management system covering POS, inventory, purchases, finance and reports. It doesn't do insurance adjudication or e-prescribing, and that's why it costs a fraction of dispensing systems that do.
